Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American Sportcaster. She currently works for ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bi-lingual since when she was nine years old. Her skill was instrumental in her landing her first post as a production assistant for Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she assisted the production of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. She was hired as reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. In 2009 she moved in Rio Grande Valley, Texas in order to be reporter for news on the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She reported on stories related to the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs across both Texas as well as Mexico. Also, she was often requested to fill in as a sports and weather anchor. In the following, she anchored and also reported to Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She reported on the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys as well as the NBA Postseasons as well as the finals of FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted the Univision 23 local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she was anchor. The show was promoted to be anchor of sports on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The anchor also worked in a similar position for Primer Impacto on UniMas Network in addition to Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins' family was born in Veracruz Mexico. She was born on 22nd November on the 22nd of October, 1985, in Mexico City. She is older than her sister. In 1992 the family left Mexico in search of the US and was settled in Miami. They divorced soon after and in 1995, she was married to an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo was diagnosed with kidney cancer. In June of 2006, she had a week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working at the time. Antonietta, a high-school senior with a plan of what she wanted her career to be like, travelled to Mount Union University to determine whether the university was suitable for her. As it turned out she loved the campus, and they were offering the major she was looking for. After completing her high school studies, she entered the University to pursue media studies. They developed a lasting relationship with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a part. He guided her to become confident in herself and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply affected her, and she in turn, was determined to fulfill his standards and never fail him.
